MI6 CONFERENCE CULMINATES WITH MI6 AWARDS
Culminating its intensive, insightful and informative second
annual MI6
Conference, the Association of Electronic Interactive Marketers (AEIM)
recognized the electronic games industry's creative and marketing
achievements with the peer-judged 2007 MI6 awards show. The
organization
proudly bestowed its Gold and Silver Muse statues to winners in
nearly 50
categories.
MI6 Vice
President Jill Lindeman said: "The MI6 Conference and Awards have
attracted the support and participation of top game marketing,
advertising
and entertainment executives, as evidenced by the incredible number
of
companies competing for awards this year. We're thrilled to draw
attention
to the achievements of those creative individuals involved in video
game
marketing and validate the important role they play in the
industry's
phenomenal success."
At this year's show, 77 statues were presented to many of the top
industry
players. Activision took home nine awards, Ubisoft earned eight
awards and
Microsoft won seven awards. Other big winners include Petrol,
Ignited Minds
and McCann Erickson, San Francisco, as well as Konami, THQ and
Electronic
Arts. Movie trailer post-production studio and advertising agency
Trailer
Park also shared in the glory, winning four awards for its work on
behalf of
Activision and one for the Warner Bros. Game logo with 1741 Films.

“LOST” CO-CREATOR TO SPEAKER LINE-UP!
This just in! Joining an already impressive line-up of speakers
at the upcoming MI6 Conference in San Francisco on May 8-9 is
Damon Lindelof, co-creator, executive producer and writer on the
smash ABC series, “Lost.” Now in its third season, “Lost” continues
to confound the expectations of viewers (and network executives)
with its teasing, multi-layered story lines and ever-deepening
mysteries. Along with co-creator J.J. Abrams, Lindelof has a proven
ability for maintaining interest in a property that continues to
evolve in challenging ways while still retaining its essential brand
identity. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear from a
contemporary creative master (you might even get the inside scoop on
Abrams and Lindelof’s next project: the “Star Trek” franchise
reboot, due out Christmas of 2008!)
MADDEN IS THE MAN
The MI6 Board of Directors have voted unanimously to award the
MI6 Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Franchise to
Madden NFL Football and John Madden himself; an honor to
be presented at the upcoming conference. One of the best-selling
video game franchises of all time, Madden NFL Football has set the
standard and longevity that all other titles aspire to achieve.
Don’t miss the presentation at the MI6 Senet Awards!
